Spectators: 7232 (Terracing: 5584, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 148) Spruttarna's Klas Sundén started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Manfred Axelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klas Sundén, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute, Nils Fredriksson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Andy Jansson. The goal made the score 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, Nerd FC's Nils Fredriksson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andy Jansson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nerd FC's Manfred Axelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Jansson in the 18th minute of play. Nerd FC were furious when George Näver was red carded, 22 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 21 minutes into the game, one of Nerd FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Manfred Axelsson went to the wrong direction when Börje Nilsson was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 33rd minute, Billy Palm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Spruttarna's Börje Nilsson tried to score from far away in the 34th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute of the match Börje Nilsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manfred Axelsson skillfully saved the ball. Sverker Larsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 38 played minutes Spruttarna got a freekick which was hit by Jimmy Tinglöf. Manfred Axelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klas Sundén in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nils Fredriksson to strike the kick off in the second half. Manfred Axelsson made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Oscar Jansson sent off a good shot on target. If Sverker Larsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Nerd FC's Manfred Axelsson got control of the ball when Oscar Jansson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 63rd play minute Oscar Jansson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Manfred Axelsson. 1-1. In the 68th minute, Roger Qvarnström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the game, Oscar Jansson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Spruttarna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nerd FC the free kick. In the 80th match minute, Spruttarna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Jansson to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Jimmy Tinglöf kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Manfred Axelsson. That made the score 1-2 in the 82 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Oscar Jansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spruttarna's supporters rose to their feet, but Oscar Jansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manfred Axelsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Spruttarna booed when Nerd FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Billy Palm didn't get a good kick on the ball.
