Spectators: 7355 (Terracing: 5599, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 40) Alexander Jönsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tor Åström. Fratton Boys's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Czeslaw Niewiadomski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Tor Åström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fratton Boys's Melker Sjöman got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Melker Sjöman took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Allan Ekelund. Allan Ekelund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Czeslaw Niewiadomski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tor Åström having to interfere. Fredric Backman kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Czeslaw Niewiadomski in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tor Åström saved Fratton Boys from getting behind. 37 minutes into the game, Jens-Erik Johnsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Täfteå IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fratton Boys the free kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Czeslaw Niewiadomski made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Czeslaw Niewiadomski in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tor Åström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 59 minutes into the match, Täfteå IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Melker Sjöman came free, but Allan Ekelund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Melker Sjöman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Allan Ekelund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredric Backman in the 71st minute of play. Tor Åström was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Czeslaw Niewiadomski showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 74 minute of play. A collision led to Fratton Boys getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Melker Sjöman hit a great ball. In the 87th minute, Boris Josefsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tor Åström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Czeslaw Niewiadomski went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 92nd minute Melker Sjöman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Ekelund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torbjörn Stål in the 94th minute of play forced Täfteå IFK's goalkeeper Allan Ekelund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
