In the 25th match minute, Gällivare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Löfskog to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Dannike IK's Ingvar Brolin tried to score from far away in the 26th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ture Tidéksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Urban Lidman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Ture Tidéksson notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Dannike IK's Urban Lidman. Urban Lidman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Frans Abrahamsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfons Landin in the 46th minute of play. In the 48th minute Ingvar Brolin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frans Abrahamsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfons Landin to strike the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Dannike IK's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Löfskog came free, but Urban Lidman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frans Abrahamsson made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Ingvar Brolin sent off a good shot on target. In the 62nd minute Alfons Landin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frans Abrahamsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ture Tidéksson in the 65th minute of play forced Dannike IK's goalkeeper Urban Lidman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfons Landin in the 73rd minute of play forced Gällivare's goalkeeper Frans Abrahamsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Edward Abelsson fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gällivare's protests and gave Edward Abelsson a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 played minutes Gällivare got a freekick which was hit by Edward Abelsson. In the 82nd minute, Alex Wallin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute, Håkan Uggstedt fired a really elegant long shot, but Frans Abrahamsson threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nils-Åke Beneth during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Ture Tidéksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Håkan Uggstedt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Frans Abrahamsson. The goal made the score 1-1. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
