Christoffer Forsberg made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Lars Wennerström sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Juniorerna's zone, Sten Boman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sture Andersson came out of the goal and Sten Boman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Juniorerna's Agne Söderman got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 19 played minutes, Hedesunda's Evert Levander shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sture Andersson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hedesunda reached it. Agne Söderman charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agne Söderman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hedesunda made a substitution. Martin Apelquist replaced Ingemar Nordkvist. Hedesunda's Sonny Sandström got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kent Uter kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Hedesunda's Martin Apelquist got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Evert Levander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lars Wennerström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sture Andersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evert Levander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Hedesunda's goal looked a bit too open when Knut Snäll came free, but Christoffer Forsberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evert Levander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sture Andersson having to interfere. Agne Söderman hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Hedesunda were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
