When Elias Lund fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Glanshammar's protests and gave Elias Lund a yellow card for diving instead. Elias Lund hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Erik Vidman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Lund in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Elias Lund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Vidman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vidar Kilman got free with Jerry Täman in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonas Falkrantz to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vidar Kilman in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jerry Täman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 55th minute, Karl Kinnman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bengt-Åke Åström hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. When Sven-Olof Holm came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Malmens FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Olof Holm couldn't finish the play. Jerry Täman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vidar Kilman, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The supporters of Malmens FF booed when Glanshammar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sören Melberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Sören Melberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glanshammar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malmens FF the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Åke Åström in the 84th minute of play forced Malmens FF's goalkeeper Erik Vidman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elias Lund got free with Erik Vidman in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Malmens FF's Erik Vidman got control of the ball when Bengt-Åke Åström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erik Vidman made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Bengt-Åke Åström sent off a good shot on target.
