An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Jakobsson in the 7th minute of play forced The Alliance's goalkeeper Evert Offendahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Michael Forssell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Erik Högberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Karl-Michael Forssell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bixente Massardier in the 12th minute of the match. Shpongle's Karl-Michael Forssell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Shpongle from getting a goal against them. Karl-Michael Forssell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sven-Erik Högberg was the one to do the kick off. Shpongle's Karl-Michael Forssell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kasper Hermansson in the 51st minute of play. Karl-Michael Forssell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bixente Massardier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Sven-Erik Högberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Shpongle's Karl-Michael Forssell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Erik Högberg in the 75th minute of play. In the 78th minute Kasper Hermansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Michael Forssell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kasper Carlberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evert Offendahl having to interfere. After some careless play in the Shpongle defense, Bixente Massardier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl-Michael Forssell. The Shpongle fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl-Michael Forssell should have stopped the shot.
