The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes Owls BK got a freekick which was hit by Joakim Örn. Jörn Rydelius was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Kurt Hamrin. Sven-Erik Högberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Jörn Rydelius skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 12th match minute, Owls BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mats Törnkvist to maneuver through the defense. Jörn Rydelius was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Kurt Hamrin. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Sven-Erik Högberg put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jörn Rydelius. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Sven-Erik Högberg sped through Owls BK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jörn Rydelius. Ulrik Vallmark kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After 26th play minutes Sven-Erik Högberg shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Jörn Rydelius and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 31st minute, Sven-Erik Högberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute Sven-Erik Högberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörn Rydelius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kurt Hamrin struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Jörn Rydelius didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Alliance. A hard shot 42 in the game by Sven-Erik Högberg from a close distance when the talented Jörn Rydelius managed to make a qualified save. Owls BK's players were relieved. Sven-Erik Högberg in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Andreas Nordmark managed to get in a good position for a shot. The audience was convinced that Sven-Erik Högberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jörn Rydelius was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. After 57 minutes, Sven Söderberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Alliance and the Owls BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th minute, one of The Alliance:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for The Alliance. Evert Offendahl had in the 60thth minute some difficulties stopping Alf Joensson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball The excitement rose when Owls BK's Alf Joensson after 60 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for The Alliance's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 3-1. Owls BK's Jörn Rydelius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kasper Hermansson in the 63rd minute of play. Alex Rosén kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Sven-Erik Högberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörn Rydelius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jörn Rydelius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Hamrin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Hamrin in the 78th minute of play forced Owls BK's goalkeeper Jörn Rydelius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
