When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Tor Berglund put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Tommy Joensson. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hernández CF's goalkeeper Tommy Joensson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hällefors RK's Gustav Eckegren quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 41st minute of the match Gustav Eckegren sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Joensson skillfully saved the ball. Tor Berglund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Joensson having to make a save. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tor Berglund made the kick off in the second half. A hard, long distance shot from Valentin Dahlbom flew over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tor Berglund in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Joensson saved Hernández CF from getting behind. When Tor Berglund came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Hällefors RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tor Berglund couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded.
