In the 29th minute, Claes Bratt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FK Crvena Zvezda fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 32 minutes into the game, Jerry Aspengren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Midland FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FK Crvena Zvezda the free kick. The supporters of FK Crvena Zvezda booed when Midland FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerry Aspengren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jens-Ola Siöberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Folke Odeen went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. If Jerry Aspengren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Claes Bratt made the kick off in the second half. Jerry Aspengren kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 61 played minutes, FK Crvena Zvezda's Otto Levander shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jens-Ola Siöberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FK Crvena Zvezda reached it. In the 66th minute, Dennis Siöberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute of the match Otto Levander shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jens-Ola Siöberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 69th minute Claes Bratt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ola Siöberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gunnar Jakobsson came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Midland FC's Torgny Dal. But to his dismay, Torgny Dal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. In the 74th minute, Claes Bratt made a precise shot to the right of Jens-Ola Siöberg. Midland FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. Jerry Aspengren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Jakobsson having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kevin Pilberg during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 88 played minutes FK Crvena Zvezda got a freekick which was hit by Otto Levander. In the 93rd minute, Torgny Dal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jens-Ola Siöberg came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by FK Crvena Zvezda's Claes Bratt. But to his dismay, Claes Bratt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-3.
