Monsters's Hans Steenberghs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Stigsson in the 3rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Skurup's zone, Osvald Helemäe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Apelqvist came out of the goal and Osvald Helemäe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tony Stigsson got free with Hans Steenberghs in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 13 played minutes Monsters got a freekick which was hit by Osvald Helemäe. Sebastian Apelqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvald Helemäe, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 21 minutes of play, Monsters's Gustavo Rivas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sebastian Apelqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Monsters fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Monsters's Gustavo Rivas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sebastian Apelqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Rivas in the 29th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustavo Rivas in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastian Apelqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Monsters's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Hellsing in the 33rd minute. A collision led to Monsters getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Nicklas Lustig hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the game, Tony Stigsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skurup's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monsters the free kick. The supporters of Monsters booed when Skurup was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Stigsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastian Apelqvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustavo Rivas went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 39th minute, Eric Bergqvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hans Steenberghs was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Sebastian Apelqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvald Helemäe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the match, Skurup's goal looked a bit too open when Osvald Helemäe came free, but Sebastian Apelqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Gustavo Rivas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebastian Apelqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Osvald Helemäe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Bergqvist in the 57th minute of play forced Monsters's goalkeeper Hans Steenberghs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the game, Monsters's Gustavo Rivas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastian Apelqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. In the 84th minute, Osvald Helemäe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monsters fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. Hans Steenberghs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Bergqvist in the 87th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Nicklas Lustig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcus Henriksson kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvald Helemäe in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastian Apelqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
