The Karlskrona IK fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Karlskrona IK's Jonny Björk looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Henry Valrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Erik Falck in the 11th minute of the match. The Havstenssund RK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henry Valrot should have stopped the shot. Henry Valrot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonny Björk's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Per-Erik Falck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the game, Jonny Björk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Henry Valrot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Henry Valrot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonny Björk's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonny Björk in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henry Valrot saved Havstenssund RK from getting behind. 37 minutes into the match, Karlskrona IK's goalkeeper Karl-Åke Sjögren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tage Ålberg. After a rather tough play, Havstenssund RK's Göran Möller got a free kick in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Havstenssund RK's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Jet came free, but Henry Valrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

After a defensive mix-up in Havstenssund RK's zone, Per-Erik Falck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henry Valrot came out of the goal and Per-Erik Falck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Havstenssund RK's Henry Valrot got control of the ball when Per-Erik Falck tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Per-Erik Falck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henry Valrot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Per-Erik Falck in the 59th minute. 64 minutes into the game, Karlskrona IK's Per-Erik Falck nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henry Valrot made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. After a rather tough play, Havstenssund RK's Edmund Söderqwist got a free kick in the 66th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Brian Blomquist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karlskrona IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Brian Blomquist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henry Valrot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henry Valrot had great luck who in the 75thth minute grab hold of the ball when Jonny Björk from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 77 minutes into the game, Jonny Björk lined in a short shot 0-6 behind a frustrated Henry Valrot. In the 80th play minute Per-Erik Falck came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Henry Valrot. 0-7. Havstenssund RK's Henry Valrot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Havstenssund RK from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute, Per-Erik Falck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karlskrona IK's Karl-Åke Sjögren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tage Ålberg in the 91st minute of play. In the 94th minute, Harry Magnusson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Havstenssund RK's goalkeeper Henry Valrot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonny Björk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Karlskrona IK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Havstenssund RK.
