The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Osvald Helemäe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikael Ekenberg having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Gustavo Rivas made a precise shot to the right of Mikael Ekenberg. Kiruna's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 12 minutes, Gustavo Rivas made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Kiruna's Mikael Ekenberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 15 played minutes Monsters got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Rivas. Osvald Helemäe kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. With a little luck, Kiruna's Mikael Ekenberg got control of the ball when Gustavo Rivas tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Osvald Helemäe put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Mikael Ekenberg. Mikael Ekenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvald Helemäe in the 33rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvald Helemäe in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mikael Ekenberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 37 played minutes Monsters got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Hellsing. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Leo Lindström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kiruna's supporters rose to their feet, but Leo Lindström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans Steenberghs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 46 played minutes Monsters got a freekick which was hit by Albin Frisck. 47 minutes into the match, Monsters's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Lindström came free, but Hans Steenberghs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Osvald Helemäe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Ingmar Nord got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Gustavo Rivas came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Monsters fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Rivas couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute Klas Glanselius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Steenberghs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gustavo Rivas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustavo Rivas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Osvald Helemäe struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Mikael Ekenberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monsters. A collision led to Monsters getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Bengt-Åke Hägert hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Rivas in the 76th minute of play forced Kiruna's goalkeeper Mikael Ekenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvald Helemäe in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mikael Ekenberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute of the match Daniel Hellsing shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mikael Ekenberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvald Helemäe in the 94th minute of play forced Kiruna's goalkeeper Mikael Ekenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Monsters fully deserved thier win.
