Simon Holmberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Hermansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 43 minutes in the game Per-Erik Bank did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Nicklas Stenman. When Christer Mikaelsson fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BK Västra's protests and gave Christer Mikaelsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute Ivan Hermansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Holmberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AEK eskilstuna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Conny Skarkman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0.
