Gunnar Vinström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 5th minute, Kalle Glad ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hans Helberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Kalle Glad came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Sporting Björkberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kalle Glad couldn't finish the play. Valentin Groth's late challenge caught a Sporting Björkberg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentin Groth helped the player get up and apologised. Gunnar Vinström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hans Helberg having to make a save. Hans Helberg had in the 18thth minute some difficulties stopping Allan Uggla's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Allan Uggla took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hans Helberg. Hans Helberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Kalle Glad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anders Björkdahl kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Björkberg's zone, Kevin Drewitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ove Heggert came out of the goal and Kevin Drewitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sporting Björkberg's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Edvard Bergsten 28 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. After having played for 33 minutes, Gunnar Vinström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Björkberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gunnar Vinström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hans Helberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunnar Vinström, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Hans Helberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kalle Glad in the 37th minute of play. In the 40th minute Kalle Glad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Helberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kalle Glad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Hans Helberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kevin Drewitz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ove Heggert having to make a save. In the 47th minute Edvard Bergsten suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. When Alvin Berg fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Björkberg's protests and gave Alvin Berg a yellow card for diving instead. After the first half Sporting Björkberg were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Valentin Groth made the kick off in the second half. After 60 played minutes Linköping FC got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Ahlén. Hans Helberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kalle Glad's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute, Valentin Kråk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Sporting Björkberg booed when Linköping FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Groth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gunnar Vinström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Helberg having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kalle Glad in the 69th minute of play forced Linköping FC's goalkeeper Hans Helberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, Sporting Björkberg's Gunnar Vinström ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hans Helberg. Hans Helberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Kalle Glad blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hans Helberg having to make a save. 84 minutes into the game, Sporting Björkberg's Gunnar Vinström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hans Helberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Hans Helberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kalle Glad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kalle Glad might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hans Helberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kalle Glad ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 93 minutes, Kalle Glad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Björkberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kalle Glad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gunnar Vinström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 1-5 became the score in the 98th minute when Kalle Glad elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Sporting Björkberg's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
