Karl-Ove Wallman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Helberg having to interfere. Håkan Hjortsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Hans Helberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The throw-in from Stefan Frykberg in the 23rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Brantevik IF's Marcus Lundin. Hans Helberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl-Ove Wallman's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the game, Marcus Lundin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brantevik IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Linköping FC the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustav Brummer in the 26th minute of play forced Brantevik IF's goalkeeper Kazimierz Gdowik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kazimierz Gdowik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Drewitz in the 28th minute of the match. Kazimierz Gdowik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustav Brummer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karl-Ove Wallman was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Linköping FC's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Ove Wallman came free, but Hans Helberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Håkan Hjortsberg's late challenge caught a Linköping FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brantevik IF were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
