Karl-Erik Biörkman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Mark Pihlgren made a huge save. Karl-Erik Biörkman struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Mark Pihlgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nyborgs FF. Mark Pihlgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anders Myr in the 26th minute of the match. Karl-Erik Biörkman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Pihlgren having to interfere. In the 29th minute Leo Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorin Arsene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Stråssa FK's goalkeeper Mark Pihlgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Erik Biörkman. Bertil Kock's late challenge caught a Nyborgs FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karl-Erik Biörkman made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Stråssa FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Simonsson to maneuver through the defense.
