Gunnar Örtlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Nordlund having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Sidensjö's Sebastian Ahlén sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aldo Paul narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 45 minutes into the game, Fred Lundström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sidensjö's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skillingaryd IFK the free kick. After 45 played minutes Sidensjö got a freekick which was hit by Fred Lundström. After 46 minutes, Viktor Byström made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Sidensjö's Christian Nordlund tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When Konrad Hasselqvist came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Sidensjö fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Konrad Hasselqvist couldn't finish the play.
