The audience thought a goal was coming when Markus Brenner got free with Viggo Benet in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Linberg in the 10th minute of play forced Wargöns IK's goalkeeper Yngve Blixt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12thth minute of the game Alf Hjelm who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wargöns IK's Yngve Blixt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 13th minute Wictor Asplund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yngve Blixt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viggo Benet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Markus Brenner in the 14th minute. When Alf Hjelm came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the BK Bröt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alf Hjelm couldn't finish the play. In the 20th match minute, Wargöns IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Oskar Haegg to maneuver through the defense. When Alf Hjelm came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the BK Bröt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alf Hjelm couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute, Alf Hjelm made a precise shot to the right of Yngve Blixt. Wargöns IK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 40th minute BK Bröt were awarded a corner. Alf Hjelm went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led BK Bröt's Karl-Johan Söderberg to fire away a dangerous shot which Yngve Blixt despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Hjelm in the 44th minute of play forced Wargöns IK's goalkeeper Yngve Blixt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alf Hjelm to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, BK Bröt's Alf Hjelm ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Yngve Blixt. Yngve Blixt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. When Alf Hjelm came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the BK Bröt fans jumped to their feet. After a rather tough play, Wargöns IK's Karl-Axel Adelsköld got a free kick in the 66th minute. A collision led to Wargöns IK getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Markus Brenner hit a great ball. Yngve Blixt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf Hjelm in the 69th minute of the match. Yngve Blixt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ted Linberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 80th minute Markus Brenner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viggo Benet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of BK Bröt booed when Wargöns IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Hallgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the match, BK Bröt's goal looked a bit too open when Markus Brenner came free, but Viggo Benet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Viggo Benet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markus Brenner, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Alf Hjelm's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Yngve Blixt firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. BK Bröt had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
