An unexpectedly hard shot by Brian Gadd in the 12th minute of play forced Östers IF's goalkeeper Björn Nyström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Skatteberg FF booed when Östers IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Stoorms didn't get a good kick on the ball. Skatteberg FF's Alexander Fogel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Ove Bengtsson in the 34th minute of play. With a little luck, Skatteberg FF's Alexander Fogel got control of the ball when Folke Hedström tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

One of Östers IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Skatteberg FF:s goal. Björn Nyström had in the 80thth minute some difficulties stopping Kurt Eriksson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 86 played minutes Östers IF got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Lindqvist. 94 minutes into the game, Jens-Ove Bengtsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Alexander Fogel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
