Fredrik Valler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frans Blixt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, Oi Mate United's goalkeeper Mats Billberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ragnar Björklund. In the 12th minute Bengt-Arne Bergfeldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mats Billberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yngve Hultstrand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harry Simonsson's late challenge caught a Oi Mate United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harry Simonsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd minute, Harry Simonsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute, FC Letni's Bengt-Arne Bergfeldt dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. The FC Letni players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Oi Mate United were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frans Blixt made a kick off. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Letni's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Frans Blixt was slow to take the kick. During this time Oi Mate United's players had a chance to rest. After 56 played minutes FC Letni got a freekick which was hit by Stig Ahlgren. FC Letni's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Frans Blixt scored to the left of an out of position Fredrik Valler, making the score, 1-3. Yngve Hultstrand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fredrik Valler having to interfere. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Frans Blixt sped through FC Letni's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fredrik Valler. Yngve Hultstrand's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fredrik Valler firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mats Billberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt-Arne Bergfeldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The supporters of Oi Mate United booed when FC Letni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig Ahlgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yngve Hultstrand could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Fredrik Valler made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Frans Blixt took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Fredrik Valler to make any attempt to save it. Yngve Hultstrand blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fredrik Valler having to make a save. Frans Blixt got in the 88th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Fredrik Valler handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Yngve Hultstrand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frans Blixt in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fredrik Valler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fredrik Valler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frans Blixt, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
