Sundets IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Svante Åkesson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Skeppshult's goal looked a bit too open when Svante Åkesson came free, but Edmund Westerberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Malte Löfgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute Nils-Emil Martinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Kielstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Nyström in the 22nd minute of play forced Skeppshult's goalkeeper Edmund Westerberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Malte Löfgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute Malte Löfgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Kielstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gösta Gummeson fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skeppshult's protests and gave Gösta Gummeson a yellow card for diving instead. Gösta Gummeson hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Fred Nyström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmund Westerberg having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Fred Nyström put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Edmund Westerberg. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Göran Adelsköld kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute of the match Olof Sjö shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edmund Westerberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Skeppshult getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Dag Stålberg hit a great ball. Martin Kielstedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils-Emil Martinsson in the 69th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Nils-Emil Martinsson notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Sundets IF's Martin Kielstedt. Martin Kielstedt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Fred Nyström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Svante Åkesson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Malte Löfgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Kielstedt having to interfere. Nils-Emil Martinsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Kielstedt having to interfere. When Fred Nyström came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Sundets IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fred Nyström couldn't finish the play. In the 96th match minute, Skeppshult was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kåre Öberg to maneuver through the defense. Kåre Öberg hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Sundets IF's Olof Sjö tried to score from far away in the 99th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sundets IF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
