The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, Ljungdalen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petter Lindgren to maneuver through the defense. Anton Utfal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Lindström in the 9th minute of the match. In the 9thth minute of the game Marcus Lindström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Ahlin's Anton Utfal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Emanuel Larsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcus Lindström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Anton Utfal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 20th minute by Bengt Grelsson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to Ljungdalen getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Kjell Olsson hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, FC Ahlin's Emanuel Larsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Emanuel Larsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Johan Andreasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anton Utfal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jon Sjöberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jon Sjöberg in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anton Utfal saved FC Ahlin from getting behind. After a rather tough play, FC Ahlin's Ernani Torres got a free kick in the 29th minute. 35 minutes into the match, FC Ahlin's goal looked a bit too open when Jon Sjöberg came free, but Anton Utfal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johan Andreasson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Greger Pilblad in the 39th minute. If Bengt Grelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 47 minutes into the game, Petter Lindgren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ljungdalen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Ahlin the free kick. After 47 played minutes Ljungdalen got a freekick which was hit by Petter Lindgren.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Larsson was the one to do the kick off. When FC Ahlin's Greger Pilblad in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience was convinced that Greger Pilblad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Johan Andreasson was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Larsson in the 62nd minute of play forced Ljungdalen's goalkeeper Johan Andreasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johan Andreasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Börje Granström in the 80th minute of the match. Emanuel Larsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Andreasson having to interfere. A collision led to FC Ahlin getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Greger Pilblad hit a great ball. Bengt Grelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Ahlin's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
