Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hjalmar Lindqvist took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th match minute, Garphyttan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Göran Molander to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Lakene IFK's Viggo Eskilsson tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Pedro Osmund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Edgar Stephansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonny Söderman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hjalmar Lindqvist's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Lakene IFK's Viggo Eskilsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Stig-Arne Höijer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melker Engman in the 28th minute of play forced Lakene IFK's goalkeeper Edgar Stephansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Andrei Agudaru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garphyttan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lakene IFK the free kick. Jonny Söderman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hjalmar Lindqvist in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 minutes, Pedro Osmund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garphyttan and the Lakene IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Lakene IFK booed when Garphyttan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Osmund didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Melker Engman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hjalmar Lindqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Jonny Söderman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Melker Engman to strike the kick off in the second half. Edgar Stephansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göran Molander, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Pedro Osmund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Stephansson having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lakene IFK's Sten Ambjörnsson got a free kick in the 54th minute. Edgar Stephansson made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Melker Engman sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Lakene IFK defense, Melker Engman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgar Stephansson. The Lakene IFK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgar Stephansson should have stopped the shot. Göran Molander kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Jonny Söderman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hjalmar Lindqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 66 minutes, Sten Ambjörnsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lakene IFK and the Garphyttan players grew even worse after the yellow card. Stig-Arne Höijer might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonny Söderman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stig-Arne Höijer ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Garphyttan defense, Hjalmar Lindqvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonny Söderman. The Garphyttan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonny Söderman should have stopped the shot. Melker Engman took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Stephansson. Edgar Stephansson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. When Stig-Arne Höijer came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Lakene IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig-Arne Höijer couldn't finish the play. In the 89th match minute, Lakene IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sten Ambjörnsson to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the game, Garphyttan's Melker Engman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgar Stephansson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Garphyttan's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
