Herbert Thorsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Rune Wållander in the 17th minute of the match. When Oliver Leppilampi fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Man United's protests and gave Oliver Leppilampi a yellow card for diving instead. Oliver Leppilampi hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Man United's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Rune Wållander came free, but Herbert Thorsberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Roberto Cavalcante to strike the kick off in the second half. The Chuba Chubba Akpom fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fritz Hultman should have stopped the shot. Mattias Strandberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Fritz Hultman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Mattias Strandberg notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Chuba Chubba Akpom's Fritz Hultman. Fritz Hultman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Herbert Thorsberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lennart Karlsson in the 76th minute. Zé Roberto Cavalcante hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Man United were the better team. Man United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
