In the 6th match minute, IFK Sponsor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Max Gråberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute, Mathias Abrahamsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of HoppJerka med boll booed when IFK Sponsor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edwin Pil didn't get a good kick on the ball. IFK Sponsor's Fredric Engström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilhelm Barck in the 18th minute of play. When Mathias Abrahamsson fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After 36 played minutes IFK Sponsor got a freekick which was hit by Herbert Forsberg. 42 minutes into the match, Herbert Forsberg notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of HoppJerka med boll's Robin Tham. Robin Tham was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Fredric Engström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ola Rosin in the 52nd minute of play. In the 56th minute, Svante Lindmark ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robin Tham was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Wilhelm Barck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Fredric Engström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in HoppJerka med boll's zone, Edward Jönsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robin Tham came out of the goal and Edward Jönsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute of the match Sonny Hafström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fredric Engström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 89thth minute of the game Edward Jönsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but HoppJerka med boll's Robin Tham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Robin Tham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Forsberg in the 90th minute of the match. After 91 minutes, Ola Rosin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the HoppJerka med boll and the IFK Sponsor players grew even worse after the yellow card.
