The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benne Beer in the 3rd minute of play forced Frövägen Hotspurs's goalkeeper Sven-Åke Qvalfeldt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the match, Benne Beer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sven-Åke Qvalfeldt. But to his dismay, Vilhelm Axelsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Sven-Åke Qvalfeldt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Ambjörnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Frövägen Hotspurs's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vilhelm Axelsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Knäred IF's players had a chance to rest. Rickard Lundström made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Ludvig Hasselqvist sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Frövägen Hotspurs's zone, Vilhelm Axelsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven-Åke Qvalfeldt came out of the goal and Vilhelm Axelsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Knäred IF booed when Frövägen Hotspurs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdemar Beckström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Knäred IF's goalkeeper couldn't reach when André Alström 32 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. After having played for 35 minutes, Vilhelm Axelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knäred IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vilhelm Axelsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sven-Åke Qvalfeldt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sonny Bodin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frövägen Hotspurs's Sven-Åke Qvalfeldt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benne Beer in the 40th minute of play. Sven-Åke Qvalfeldt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benne Beer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frövägen Hotspurs's Sven-Åke Qvalfeldt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertil Tunberg in the 45th minute of play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Svante Ek to make the kick off. Sven-Åke Qvalfeldt made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Bertil Tunberg sent off a good shot on target. 1-5 became the score in the 62nd minute when Benne Beer elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Vilhelm Axelsson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sven-Åke Qvalfeldt, 1-6. Benne Beer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sven-Åke Qvalfeldt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benne Beer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vilhelm Axelsson kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Knäred IF's Sven-Åke Qvalfeldt threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Benne Beer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Valdemar Beckström hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the match, Knäred IF's goal looked a bit too open when Svante Ek came free, but Rickard Lundström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
