With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Fågel in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonny Falk saved Trandareds SK from getting behind. Torsten Holmberg hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Olov Boström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Brogren in the 11th minute of play. Olov Boström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig-Arne Siggesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Olov Boström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Finsberg in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Bengt-Arne Rolandsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olov Boström came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Trandareds SK's Inge Martinsson. But to his dismay, Inge Martinsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Bengt-Arne Rolandsson kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Jack Brogren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Umeå FC's Viktor Johansson got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute Stig-Arne Siggesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Boström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olov Boström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Arne Siggesson in the 32nd minute of the match. Trandareds SK's Jonny Falk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Trandareds SK from getting a goal against them. 42 minutes into the match, Umeå FC's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Finsberg came free, but Olov Boström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute Victor Finsberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Boström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Georg Kruse lost his temper 45 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 44 minutes into the game, one of Umeå FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. When the final whistle sounded Trandareds SK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Umeå FC.
