Spectators: 7463 (Terracing: 5598, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) Sunderland FC's Bengt-Rune Nilsson started the match with a crisp pass. In the 53rd minute, Andréas Örtlund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Magne Gudmundsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Torbjörn Öberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torbjörn Öberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Rune Nilsson in the 56th minute of play. Bengt-Åke Låsberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Valdemar Ekgren showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 59 minute of play. When Jens-Ove Söderberg fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rydaholm IFK's protests and gave Jens-Ove Söderberg a yellow card for diving instead. Jens-Ove Söderberg hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Rydaholm IFK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
