Egil Eriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sten Östlund having to interfere. Börje Wennerqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, one of Stockholm Vikings FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Stockholm Vikings FC. A collision led to Stockholm Vikings FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Maxim Herescu hit a great ball. Stellan Stor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sten Östlund having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Henrik Bergdal notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Hudiksvall's Sten Östlund. Sten Östlund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Henrik Bergdal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Bror Billing hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stockholm Vikings FC's Fanis Giaourtelis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Stockholm Vikings FC from getting a goal against them. After the first half Stockholm Vikings FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Henrik Bergdal made the kick off in the second half. Sten Östlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egil Eriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Sten Östlund was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Börje Wennerqvist showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 55 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hudiksvall's Stig-Åke Kellberg got a free kick in the 58th minute. Egil Eriksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fanis Giaourtelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Karlsson in the 62nd minute of play. After having played for 63 minutes, Henrik Bergdal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stockholm Vikings FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henrik Bergdal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute of the match Hudiksvall got a corner. Stockholm Vikings FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Karl-Ove Björkqvist ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 81st minute, Stockholm Vikings FC's Henrik Bergdal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sten Östlund. Sten Östlund yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrik Bergdal in the 86th minute of play forced Hudiksvall's goalkeeper Sten Östlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Börje Wennerqvist scored 0-4 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sten Östlund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Stockholm Vikings FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
