Calle Söderström's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Bengt-Åke Låsberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Hulesjöns BK's zone, Bengt-Rune Nilsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Börge Mattsson came out of the goal and Bengt-Rune Nilsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Calle Söderström succeeded in the game's 27th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. Magne Gudmundsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Börge Mattsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bengt-Rune Nilsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Börge Mattsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 44th match minute, Hulesjöns BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tim Abelsson to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Oscar Holmstedt hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Tim Abelsson's late challenge caught a Sunderland FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tim Abelsson helped the player get up and apologised. After 54 played minutes Hulesjöns BK got a freekick which was hit by Tim Abelsson. In the 57th minute, Calle Söderström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hulesjöns BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Börge Mattsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Rune Nilsson in the 60th minute of the match. After having played for 62 minutes, Calle Söderström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hulesjöns BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Calle Söderström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Calle Söderström came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Hulesjöns BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Calle Söderström couldn't finish the play. Hulesjöns BK's Viktor Rudberg got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th match minute, Sunderland FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esbjörn Kvarnström to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Hulesjöns BK getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Calle Söderström hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hulesjöns BK's zone, Bengt-Rune Nilsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Börge Mattsson came out of the goal and Bengt-Rune Nilsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Roland Söderberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sunderland FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roland Söderberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Börge Mattsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bengt-Rune Nilsson hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Hulesjöns BK had won after a very even match.
