If Franck Tastet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Åke Vinström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franck Tastet in the 16th minute of play. With a little luck, Bengans blöjbebisar's Jan Lindberg got control of the ball when Martin Klementsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Martin Klementsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jan Lindberg. That made the score 1-1 in the 19 minute of play. After having played for 22 minutes, Franck Tastet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bengans blöjbebisar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Franck Tastet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bengans blöjbebisar fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Franck Tastet sped through Royal FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Åke Vinström. With a little luck, Bengans blöjbebisar's Jan Lindberg got control of the ball when Martin Klementsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Franck Tastet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Åke Vinström having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when William Siöman got free with Jan Lindberg in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 48 minutes into the game, Bengans blöjbebisar's Franck Tastet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Åke Vinström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Franck Tastet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Martin Klementsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Jan Lindberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Royal FC's goalkeeper Åke Vinström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jan Lindberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Klementsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jon Mager during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Royal FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Bengans blöjbebisar had controlled the match.
