But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salim Buguet couldn't finish the play. Holger Brenner kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the game, Holger Wennerlund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Hammers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panam Parkers Boys the free kick. The supporters of Panam Parkers Boys booed when The Hammers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Holger Wennerlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 15 minutes into the match, The Hammers's goal looked a bit too open when Salim Buguet came free, but Olov Linquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Villegas Manzardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ainar Nugin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 played minutes Panam Parkers Boys got a freekick which was hit by Frans Termander. 37 minutes into the match, Panam Parkers Boys's goalkeeper Ainar Nugin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Villegas Manzardo. Panam Parkers Boys's Ainar Nugin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Panam Parkers Boys from getting a goal against them. Sidney Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olov Linquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frans Termander, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sidney Freitas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in The Hammers's zone, José Gay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olov Linquist came out of the goal and José Gay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute Sidney Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Linquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ainar Nugin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Holger Wennerlund in the 57th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Sidney Freitas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Olov Linquist. The goal made the score 3-2. Karl-Erik Ekelund took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ainar Nugin. Panam Parkers Boys's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in The Hammers's zone, Frans Termander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olov Linquist came out of the goal and Frans Termander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sidney Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to The Hammers getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Patric Alebäck hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, The Hammers's goal looked a bit too open when Sidney Freitas came free, but Olov Linquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panam Parkers Boys's Ainar Nugin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göran Falkrans in the 72nd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Olov Linquist successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sidney Freitas in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olov Linquist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sidney Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to The Hammers getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Patric Alebäck hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, Panam Parkers Boys's José Gay broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Hammers's goalkeeper Olov Linquist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Olov Linquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidney Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sidney Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sidney Freitass short, quick shot in the 96thth minute got Olov Linquist to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Panam Parkers Boys's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because The Hammers had won, even though Panam Parkers Boys had held more of the ball.
