With a little luck, Alvesta FF's Christian Brun got control of the ball when Martin Klementsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edwin Ekerot in the 22nd minute of play forced Royal FC's goalkeeper Åke Vinström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Royal FC's Åke Vinström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Asserlind in the 24th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Royal FC's zone, Kjell Åkerström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Åke Vinström came out of the goal and Kjell Åkerström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31stth minute of the game Kent Asserlind who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Royal FC's Åke Vinström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Åke Vinström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kent Asserlind's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. After 40 minutes of play, Alvesta FF's Kent Asserlind made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Åke Vinström was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute Michael Bergkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Brun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kent Asserlind hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Martin Klementsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Brun was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martin Klementsson in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christian Brun saved Alvesta FF from getting behind. Martin Klementsson charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Klementsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Martin Klementsson kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 84th match minute, Alvesta FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent Asserlind to maneuver through the defense.
