Lucio Patxi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Åke Vinström having to interfere. Kalju Kits made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Bergkvist in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Lucio Patxi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Skeninge ik's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Bergkvist came free, but Kalju Kits reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Royal FC's goalkeeper Åke Vinström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucio Patxi. Olle Eskilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Olle Eskilsson was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 37th minute. Skeninge ik's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Siöman in the 38th minute of play forced Skeninge ik's goalkeeper Kalju Kits to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Royal FC booed when Skeninge ik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvin Salkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 44 minutes, Michael Bergkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Royal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michael Bergkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

If Michael Bergkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jens-Ove Lundgren hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Skeninge ik's Kalju Kits got control of the ball when Martin Klementsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 73 minutes, William Siöman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Royal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but William Siöman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 80 played minutes Skeninge ik got a freekick which was hit by Jörgen Lövskog. In the 82nd minute of the match, Michael Bergkvist tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kalju Kits saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Royal FC booed when Skeninge ik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olle Eskilsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 89 minutes, Robert Askberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skeninge ik and the Royal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th minute, Martin Klementsson made a precise shot to the right of Kalju Kits. Skeninge ik's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Skeninge ik succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Royal FC had controlled the match.
