Martin Klementsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Otto Benett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Martin Klementsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 28 played minutes Norrtälje IF got a freekick which was hit by Gilbert Andberg. When Michael Bergkvist came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Royal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michael Bergkvist couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes into the game, Martin Klementsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Otto Benett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 37th match minute, Norrtälje IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jon Wallin to maneuver through the defense. Martin Klementssons short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Otto Benett to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 45 minutes into the match, Royal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Smed came free, but Åke Vinström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 played minutes Royal FC got a freekick which was hit by Casper Pilgren. After a defensive mix-up in Royal FC's zone, Jon Wallin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Åke Vinström came out of the goal and Jon Wallin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michael Bergkvist was the one to do the kick off. Michael Bergkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otto Benett having to interfere. Michael Bergkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Otto Benett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Royal FC had played much better football throughout.
