Spectators: 7472 (Terracing: 5605, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sigvard Tunström kicked off to start the match. Alvar Ekeberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Allan Arenstedt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 2nd minute of play. 6 minutes into the game, Per-Erik Holmgren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Giroud's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sjövik the free kick. In the 7th match minute, FC Giroud was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Erik Holmgren to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute, Sigvard Tunström made a precise shot to the right of Sakarias Ahlroth. Sjövik's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 17 played minutes FC Giroud got a freekick which was hit by Sigvard Tunström. 33 minutes into the game, Sjövik's Alvar Ekeberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Allan Arenstedt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Sakarias Ahlroth successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Allan Arenstedt was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Alvar Ekeberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alvar Ekeberg really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Sigvard Tunström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Sakarias Ahlroth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvar Ekeberg in the 60th minute of play forced FC Giroud's goalkeeper Allan Arenstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Valter Ahlbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Giroud's Allan Arenstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valter Ahlbom in the 63rd minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Alvar Ekeberg notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of FC Giroud's Allan Arenstedt. Allan Arenstedt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Allan Arenstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valter Ahlbom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the game, Sjövik's Valter Ahlbom nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Allan Arenstedt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Allan Arenstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valter Ahlbom in the 82nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Alvar Ekeberg could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Allan Arenstedt however easily saved by the left post. Oliver Alebeck's late challenge caught a FC Giroud's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oliver Alebeck helped the player get up and apologised. With a little luck, FC Giroud's Allan Arenstedt got control of the ball when Alvar Ekeberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. The FC Giroud fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sjövik were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
