The supporters of FC Calmare booed when Minnesbergs IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apostol Zhablyanov didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Fabiano Portov notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Calmare's Torgny Nyberg. Torgny Nyberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Torgny Nyberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Portov in the 14th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Fabiano Portov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torgny Nyberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Nordal got free with Boris Malmgren in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Minnesbergs IF getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Apostol Zhablyanov hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Portov in the 32nd minute of play forced FC Calmare's goalkeeper Torgny Nyberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Georg Olsmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alejandro Ramírez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 40 minutes into the game, Jonathan Nordal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Calmare's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Minnesbergs IF the free kick. In the 40th minute, Jonathan Nordal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Calmare's Torgny Nyberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Meriti in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Wennerquist to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Fabiano Portov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torgny Nyberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Torgny Nyberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Portov in the 55th minute of play. Emanuel Wennerquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boris Malmgren having to interfere. Vincent Sävström took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boris Malmgren. Boris Malmgren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Fabiano Portov received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Torgny Nyberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Fabiano Portov slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 64th minute. Emanuel Wennerquist kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Douglas Meriti was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 69th minute. Minnesbergs IF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Douglas Meriti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Minnesbergs IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Douglas Meriti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Torgny Nyberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 76 minutes of play, Minnesbergs IF's Fabiano Portov made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Torgny Nyberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Douglas Meriti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alejandro Ramírez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Torgny Nyberg. FC Calmare's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Minnesbergs IF's Douglas Meriti was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 96th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When the match was over Minnesbergs IF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Calmare throughout the match.
