Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Valter Ahlbom started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Sjövik's goal looked a bit too open when Alf Spets came free, but Sakarias Ahlroth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvar Ekeberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Edwin Biörling when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ingvar Fernkvist was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 6 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute, one of Ljungby BK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ljungby BK. 14 minutes into the game, Anders Engström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ljungby BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sjövik the free kick. Edwin Biörling stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valter Ahlbom's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliver Alebeck in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edwin Biörling saved Ljungby BK from getting behind. The supporters of Ljungby BK booed when Sjövik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valter Ahlbom didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th play minute Arvin Hedbom came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Edwin Biörling. 2-0. Alvar Ekeberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwin Biörling having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ljungby BK's Alf Spets got a free kick in the 34th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oliver Alebeck in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edwin Biörling prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kurt Lundberg to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valter Sundström in the 53rd minute of play forced Ljungby BK's goalkeeper Edwin Biörling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute Valter Sundström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin Biörling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alvar Ekeberg in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edwin Biörling saved Ljungby BK from getting behind. In the 58th minute, Oliver Alebeck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kurt Lundberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sakarias Ahlroth having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kurt Lundberg got free with Sakarias Ahlroth in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valter Ahlbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Edwin Biörling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alf Spets during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sjövik booed when Ljungby BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alf Spets didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Ljungby BK's goal looked a bit too open when Valter Sundström came free, but Edwin Biörling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edwin Biörling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvar Ekeberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 80th minute, Kurt Lundberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valter Ahlbom in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edwin Biörling saved Ljungby BK from getting behind. Sakarias Ahlroth made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Kurt Lundberg sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute, Alvar Ekeberg made a precise shot to the right of Edwin Biörling. Ljungby BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. If Valter Sundström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sjövik had played much better football throughout.
