Spectators: 7478 (Terracing: 5610, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lars Fransson started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes EI SAA PEITTÄÄ got a freekick which was hit by Edward Ström. In the 6th minute, Sven-Olof Helberg made a precise shot to the right of Jan-Olof Stenqvist. EI SAA PEITTÄÄ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Börje Aspengren came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the EI SAA PEITTÄÄ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Börje Aspengren couldn't finish the play. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Esset's goalkeeper Albin Karlberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Albin Karlberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Börje Aspengren in the 18th minute. 22 minutes into the match, EI SAA PEITTÄÄ's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Olof Helberg came free, but Jan-Olof Stenqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven-Olof Helberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Jan-Olof Stenqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vilhelm Bäckman charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vilhelm Bäckman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vilhelm Bäckman hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, FC Esset's Karl Melin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan-Olof Stenqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. EI SAA PEITTÄÄ's Jan-Olof Stenqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Melin in the 35th minute of play. The FC Esset fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when FC Esset's Karl Melin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ludvig Nyberg's late challenge caught a FC Esset's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ludvig Nyberg helped the player get up and apologised. If Sven-Olof Helberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ludvig Nyberg hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 42ndth minute of the game Sven-Olof Helberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but EI SAA PEITTÄÄ's Jan-Olof Stenqvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Karl Melin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Melin in the 46th minute of play forced EI SAA PEITTÄÄ's goalkeeper Jan-Olof Stenqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Sven-Olof Helberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sven-Olof Helberg to make the kick off. Jan-Olof Stenqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl Melin, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The audience was convinced that Sven-Olof Helberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan-Olof Stenqvist was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Sven-Olof Helberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Olof Stenqvist having to interfere. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind EI SAA PEITTÄÄ's goalkeeper Jan-Olof Stenqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, EI SAA PEITTÄÄ's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Olof Helberg came free, but Jan-Olof Stenqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan-Olof Stenqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karl Melin in the 65th minute. The supporters of FC Esset booed when EI SAA PEITTÄÄ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ludvig Nyberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven-Olof Helberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Jan-Olof Stenqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 79 played minutes EI SAA PEITTÄÄ got a freekick which was hit by Hans Anselius. In the 83rd minute Sven-Olof Helberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Olof Stenqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl Melin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jan-Olof Stenqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven-Olof Helberg struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Jan-Olof Stenqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Esset. Lars Fransson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albin Karlberg having to interfere. The FC Esset players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
