Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Thomas Bodin started the match with the kick off. Thomas Bodin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 4thth minute, Edvard Linberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Fredrik Glanselius came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Thieluista Stegel's Niklas Dahlquist. But to his dismay, Niklas Dahlquist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Edvard Linberg was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Adrian Trillkott. In the 13th minute Magne Ståhlman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredrik Glanselius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 minutes of play, Rimbo IF's Thomas Bodin made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edvard Linberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edvard Linberg made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Thomas Bodin sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st minute, Göran Sjödin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas Bodin in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edvard Linberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Thieluista Stegel defense, Thomas Bodin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edvard Linberg. The Thieluista Stegel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edvard Linberg should have stopped the shot. Christer Lidman hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Edvard Linberg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 31stth minute of the game Thomas Bodin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thieluista Stegel's Edvard Linberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Patric Öman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edvard Linberg. Thieluista Stegel's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 37thth minute of the game Thomas Bodin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thieluista Stegel's Edvard Linberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Thieluista Stegel's Alvar Colin got a free kick in the 45th minute. Thomas Bodin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvard Linberg having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jörgen Hellström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Thieluista Stegel's zone, Thomas Bodin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edvard Linberg came out of the goal and Thomas Bodin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmund Blomberg in the 54th minute of play forced Thieluista Stegel's goalkeeper Edvard Linberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mårten Söderquist came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Rimbo IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mårten Söderquist couldn't finish the play. When Dick Alkvist came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Rimbo IF fans jumped to their feet. When Rimbo IF's Thomas Bodin in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Thieluista Stegel's goalie prevented a goal. In the 69th minute, Thomas Bodin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edvard Linberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. 73 minutes into the match, Mårten Söderquist notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Thieluista Stegel's Edvard Linberg. Edvard Linberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thomas Bodin in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edvard Linberg saved Thieluista Stegel from getting behind. If Roy Pilblad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Rimbo IF's Thomas Bodin in 81 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Edvard Linberg guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. With his leg Fredrik Glanselius managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Thieluista Stegel's Niklas Dahlquist fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thieluista Stegel's Göran Sjödin shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 86th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fredrik Glanselius but with some difficulty. A hard shot by Thomas Carlsson from long distance, 88 minutes into the match, got Fredrik Glanselius's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Edmund Blomberg came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Rimbo IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmund Blomberg couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Rimbo IF booed when Thieluista Stegel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvar Colin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Rimbo IF players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
