Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Perspolis FC's Sture Sandström started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Perspolis FC booed when Landvetter was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Johan Lenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andreas Jakobsson in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kjell-Arne Stenqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Landvetter's Valdemar Kellbom got a free kick in the 8th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sture Sandström in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kjell-Arne Stenqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Sture Sandström put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Kjell-Arne Stenqvist. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erland Carlsson got free with Sven-Åke Jakobsson in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Landvetter's Kjell-Arne Stenqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Tillman in the 19th minute of play. When Daniel Persson came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Perspolis FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Persson couldn't finish the play. Daniel Persson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 26th minute Sture Sandström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell-Arne Stenqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Andreas Jakobsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Perspolis FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 34 played minutes, Perspolis FC's Kristian Skager shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kjell-Arne Stenqvist came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Perspolis FC reached it. Andreas Jakobsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Perspolis FC's Sven-Åke Jakobsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Perspolis FC from getting a goal against them. After 40 minutes, Andreas Jakobsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Perspolis FC and the Landvetter players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st minute of the match, Erland Carlsson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sven-Åke Jakobsson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 45th minute, Andy Tillman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Perspolis FC's Sven-Åke Jakobsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Perspolis FC from getting a goal against them. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tord Björkman to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Landvetter getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Karl-Johan Lenberg hit a great ball. Sture Sandström's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Kjell-Arne Stenqvist skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Andreas Jakobsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Kjell-Arne Stenqvist made a huge save. Kjell-Arne Stenqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Jakobsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute Andreas Jakobsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell-Arne Stenqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute Valdemar Kellbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Åke Jakobsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sture Sandström in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kjell-Arne Stenqvist, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sture Sandström in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kjell-Arne Stenqvist saved Landvetter from getting behind. Kjell-Arne Stenqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sture Sandström's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. In the 74th minute of the game Alex Sikström made a throw-in which Tord Björkman played forward. Perspolis FC's Frank Termander was substituted for Wictor Gustafsson. 86 minutes into the match, Landvetter's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Jakobsson came free, but Kjell-Arne Stenqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute, Tord Björkman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sven-Åke Jakobsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hampus Bålström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kjell-Arne Stenqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Jakobsson in the 94th minute of play. In the 97th minute, Robin Hammarström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 98 minutes into the match, Erland Carlsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sven-Åke Jakobsson. Perspolis FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erland Carlsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Perspolis FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
