Dick Alkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Jernberg having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Fredrik Glanselius successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Dick Alkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 23 minutes of play, Rimbo IF's Thomas Bodin made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eric Jernberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eric Jernberg came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Rimbo IF's Edmund Blomberg. But to his dismay, Edmund Blomberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After 32 played minutes Rimbo IF got a freekick which was hit by Mårten Söderquist. Fredrik Glanselius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zebastian Lööf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Bodin in the 37th minute of play forced Monroeville Zombies's goalkeeper Eric Jernberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Zebastian Lööf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Mårten Söderquist made a precise shot to the right of Eric Jernberg. Monroeville Zombies's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zebastian Lööf to make the kick off. Thomas Bodin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Eric Jernberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Rimbo IF booed when Monroeville Zombies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustaf Ivarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roy Pilblad struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Eric Jernberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rimbo IF. If Thomas Bodin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eric Jernberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Bodin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ove Bodin kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Eric Jernberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mårten Söderquist in the 73rd minute of play. Mårten Söderquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thomas Bodin got free with Eric Jernberg in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Hjalmar Abrahamsson fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monroeville Zombies's protests and gave Hjalmar Abrahamsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd minute, Hjalmar Abrahamsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Thomas Bodin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eric Jernberg was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. In the 91st minute, Rimbo IF's Dick Alkvist dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. After 96 minutes of play, Rimbo IF's Thomas Bodin made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eric Jernberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rimbo IF played a much better game than Monroeville Zombies and deserved their victory. The Monroeville Zombies players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
