The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Melker Vennerdal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gunnar Nordin, 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Irak's Daniel Elg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gunnar Nordin. That made the score 2-0 after 8 minutes of play. Gunnar Nordin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Rolandsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Gunnar Nordin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Rolandsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Stora Blå's goalkeeper Gunnar Nordin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Elg. Vilhelm Bengtsson came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gunnar Nordin could save by the left post. Vilhelm Bengtsson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Gunnar Nordin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Stora Blå's Gunnar Nordin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Stora Blå from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Irak's zone, Kristian Svartengren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernt Tinglöv came out of the goal and Kristian Svartengren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Stora Blå's Gunnar Nordin got control of the ball when Vilhelm Bengtsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lars Rolandsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Gunnar Nordin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 38 minutes, Björn Hjortberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Irak and the Stora Blå players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Irak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Björn Hjortberg to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vilhelm Bengtsson got free with Gunnar Nordin in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Irak's Bernt Tinglöv played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malcolm Gråberg in the 44th minute of play. Gunnar Nordin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Rolandsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Malcolm Gråberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gunnar Nordin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilhelm Bengtsson in the 53rd minute of play. Gunnar Nordin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Rolandsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Stora Blå's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Rolandsson came free, but Gunnar Nordin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Stora Blå's Henrik Högman got a free kick in the 57th minute. Gunnar Nordin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melker Vennerdal, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute, Johnny Caspersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Irak booed when Stora Blå was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malcolm Gråberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 71 played minutes Irak got a freekick which was hit by Johnny Caspersson. Melker Vennerdal took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gunnar Nordin. Gunnar Nordin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. 79 minutes into the match, Stora Blå's goal looked a bit too open when Vilhelm Bengtsson came free, but Gunnar Nordin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Vilhelm Bengtsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Lars Rolandsson put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gunnar Nordin. Vilhelm Bengtsson scored 6-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gunnar Nordin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melker Vennerdal in the 89th minute of play forced Stora Blå's goalkeeper Gunnar Nordin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Lars Rolandsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Irak's supporters rose to their feet, but Lars Rolandsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gunnar Nordin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vilhelm Bengtsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
