Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Conrado Fraco kicked off to start the match. Dennis Lindell's late challenge caught a Sunderland AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dennis Lindell helped the player get up and apologised. After 34 played minutes Lannavaara IF got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Lindell. After 35 minutes, Herbert Benet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sunderland AFC and the Lannavaara IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Conrado Fraco in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adrian Ekström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Borys Iwanowski got free with Adrian Ekström in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adrian Ekström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrado Fraco, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Lannavaara IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sunderland AFC the free kick. Bengt-Arne Sjöberg kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match.
