After some careless play in the Hammerdal defense, Conrado Fraco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomas Kolberg. The Hammerdal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomas Kolberg should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Hammerdal getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Torsten Barck hit a great ball. Gentza Deza hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fredrik Pååk to make the kick off. In the 96th minute, Conrado Fraco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Sunderland AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
