Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jens-Erik Kihlberg started the match with the kick off. Rune Göransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Erik Kihlberg in the 4th minute of the match. After 4 minutes, Jens-Erik Kihlberg made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Åsele's Rune Göransson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tobias Simonsson kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 9th match minute, Soaring Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Vennerkvist to maneuver through the defense. Mikael Smedfeldt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Simonsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute, Åsele's Tobias Simonsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mikael Smedfeldt. Mikael Smedfeldt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Mikael Smedfeldt was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Henric Forssell capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Henric Forssell really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walter Stenström during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 23 played minutes Åsele got a freekick which was hit by Walter Stenström. Sven-Ove Hedbom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Göransson having to interfere. Soaring Eagles's Mikael Smedfeldt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Soaring Eagles from getting a goal against them. Knut Dalberg charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Knut Dalberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th match minute, Åsele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Knut Dalberg to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Erik Kihlberg in the 35th minute of play forced Åsele's goalkeeper Rune Göransson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Jens-Erik Kihlberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Soaring Eagles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Mikael Smedfeldt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tobias Simonsson's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Rune Göransson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jens-Erik Kihlberg went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Henric Forssell hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Soaring Eagles's Mikael Smedfeldt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Simonsson in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Soaring Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Knut Dalberg came free, but Mikael Smedfeldt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Åsele getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Eric Hultstrand hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the match, Åsele's goalkeeper Rune Göransson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven-Ove Hedbom. Sven-Ove Hedbom could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Rune Göransson made a huge save. After having played for 74 minutes, Jens-Erik Kihlberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soaring Eagles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens-Erik Kihlberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rune Göransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Askestät in the 75th minute of play. Andréas Gerdberg was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 78 minutes into the match. 84 minutes into the match, Åsele's Henric Forssell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mikael Smedfeldt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Henric Forssell came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Åsele fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henric Forssell couldn't finish the play. Sven-Ove Hedbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tony Kinell during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Soaring Eagles's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
