An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Lönn in the 17th minute of play forced Ashington FC's goalkeeper Mikael Göransson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 played minutes Grimsås got a freekick which was hit by Anders Lundgren. After a rather tough play, Grimsås's Anders Lundgren got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 22nd match minute, Ashington FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hannes Juhlin to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute Roger Lönn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikael Göransson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Grimsås booed when Ashington FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Söderkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Timmy Wennerquist might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tobias Wester. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Timmy Wennerquist ran back to his position shaking his head. Karl-Magnus Biörling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Mikael Göransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olov Wenerdahl in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mikael Göransson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mikael Göransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Lönn in the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th match minute, Ashington FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hannes Juhlin to maneuver through the defense. Grimsås's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mats Bergman in the 66th minute. It was a well-played corner which Lars Tinglöv managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After a rather tough play, Grimsås's Anders Lundgren got a free kick in the 71st minute. Sven-Arne Dahlqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Tobias Wester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mikael Göransson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karl-Magnus Biörling went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 91st minute, Hampus Hökqvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mikael Göransson was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Tobias Wester made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Timmy Wennerquist sent off a good shot on target. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Grimsås had played much better football throughout.
