In the 2nd minute, Bertil Stabbe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Godis's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Samuel Mouricio scored to the left of an out of position Jörn Jernberg, making the score, 1-0. 9 minutes into the game, FC Godis's Rune Isaksson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kalle Hermansson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. FC Godis's Jörn Jernberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save FC Godis from getting a goal against them. Samuel Mouricio struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Jörn Jernberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gimo. Samuel Mouricio might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jörn Jernberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Samuel Mouricio ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 23rd minute, Samuel Mouricio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jörn Jernberg. The goal made the score 2-1. In the 26th minute of the match Hans Hellgren shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jörn Jernberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 29th minute, Samuel Mouricio made a precise shot to the right of Jörn Jernberg. FC Godis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. A hard shot 34 in the game by Samuel Mouricio from a close distance when the talented Jörn Jernberg managed to make a qualified save. FC Godis's players were relieved. In the 36th minute Samuel Mouricio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörn Jernberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexander Ambjörnsson struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Jörn Jernberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gimo. Samuel Mouricio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jörn Jernberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, FC Godis's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Mouricio came free, but Jörn Jernberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Samuel Mouricio to strike the kick off in the second half. Jörn Jernberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Mouricio in the 56th minute of play. After 60 minutes of play, Gimo's Samuel Mouricio made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jörn Jernberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Max Komara might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jörn Jernberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Max Komara ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the FC Godis defense, Samuel Mouricio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jörn Jernberg. The FC Godis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jörn Jernberg should have stopped the shot. Roger Bergfelt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69th minute, Alexander Ambjörnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute, Samuel Mouricio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jörn Jernberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. Max Komara struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Jörn Jernberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gimo. The audience was convinced that Samuel Mouricio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jörn Jernberg was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. If Vilgot Karlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Samuel Mouricio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jörn Jernberg having to interfere. Jörn Jernberg came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Gimo's Samuel Mouricio. But to his dismay, Samuel Mouricio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuel Mouricio in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jörn Jernberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 89 minutes into the match, Bertil Stabbe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jörn Jernberg. FC Godis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bertil Stabbe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-1. In the 93rd minute Samuel Mouricio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörn Jernberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 played minutes, Gimo's Kenneth Odén shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jörn Jernberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gimo reached it. Gimo's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
