In the 32nd minute, one of Älmeboda:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Älmeboda. Stellan Snell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torgny Askberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After having played for 41 minutes, Sigvard Stenquist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fågelmara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sigvard Stenquist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Måns Bållström took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dick Billock. Älmeboda's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Sigvard Stenquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dick Billock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joachim Norberg in the 59th minute of the match. Fågelmara's Stellan Snell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Björn Heggert in the 62nd minute of play. Dick Billock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Jonsson in the 63rd minute of play. Älmeboda's Fred Göransson got his second yellow card of the match in the 64th minute. The referee ordered Fred Göransson off the ground. After a rather tough play, Älmeboda's Fred Göransson got a free kick in the 65th minute. Dick Billock came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Fågelmara's Joachim Norberg. But to his dismay, Joachim Norberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Torgny Askberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joachim Norberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Dick Billock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dick Billock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigvard Stenquist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Älmeboda booed when Fågelmara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Johan Ahlbom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fågelmara walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
