The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan-Ove Rönn got free with Bo-Erik Stenkvist in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kevin Eliasson during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joakim Kvarnström made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Kim Haraldsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 58 minutes into the game, one of Denzashow:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alf Gerdberg had in the 60thth minute some difficulties stopping Kent Hult's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Bo-Erik Stenkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markus Rosendal, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After 65 played minutes Denzashow got a freekick which was hit by Baptiste Santamaria. In the 67th minute Jan-Ove Rönn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bo-Erik Stenkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
